I think we still sort of connect on FB but they insisted that Geranium Cat wasn't a real person (the cheek!) so I had to change - I use my maiden name, so I'm there as Joanna Roberts now :-(GeraniumCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03010199887691558717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-182642520216901583.post-14808845951210171752013-09-07T20:48:34.650+01:002013-09-07T20:48:34.650+01:00The wonders of the blog world - used to read you, ...The wonders of the blog world - used to read you, lost you, found you again via pinterest! Can hardly wait to read it, and your review makes me want to get to it soon. I haven't read the DWJ either.....you sound like you had a good reading month, and that's what counts :-) love the mini-reviews, they do work, don't they?Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09095246748581382752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-182642520216901583.post-9983371468315296582013-08-12T18:17:49.737+01:002013-08-12T18:17:49.737+01:00Me too, Jenny. I adore all the scenes set at the sci-fi convention; and that scene where the android receptionist is trying to find rooms for Nick and Maree is superb.Jenny @ Reading the End (formerly Jenny's Books)http://readingtheend.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-182642520216901583.post-48946882145476761022013-08-04T13:41:15.274+01:002013-08-04T13:41:15.274+01:00I was surprised by the Unseen Academicals too, gre...I was surprised by the Unseen Academicals too, great fun! Less keen on Rincewind, on the whole, but there's always something to enjoy in his books. I can never decide which of the Discworld books I like most either. Probably it's Sam Vimes but Tiffany is great too. I never cared much for the Rincewind books but those have grown on me recently. And I was thoroughly unprepared for how much I like Unseen Academicals.

I really, really must get around to the Patrick Rothfuss books. Is it called "Deep Secret" (as it appears on the picture of the book cover) or "Deep Magic" (as it appears in your post's text)?Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.com
